Central Self Drive would like to say a huge well done to the 30 cyclists who took part in the 2015 Magic Weekend with the The Warrington Wolves Charitable Foundation!
As always, being proud patron’s of The Warrington Wolves Foundation, we were more than happy to help the foundation when they required a van for the support vehicle and a mini bus to transport the cyclists back to Warrington.
The group cycled 190 miles over two days, to raise funds for both The Warrington Wolves Charitable Foundation and also Rugby League Cares. Starting at The Halliwell Jones Stadium, they travel to Ripon on the first day and ended their journey on Saturday morning at St James’ Park in Newcastle, ready for a full weekend of Super League fixtures!
Here is what the Wolves had to say about the event:
“Ready for the 2015 Magic Weekend, 30 volunteers cycled from The Halliwell Jones Stadium to St James’ Park to raise funds for both The Warrington Wolves Charitable Foundation and also Rugby League Cares.
The group; made up of Foundation staff members, volunteers and Community Business Patrons, left The Halliwell Jones Stadium on Thursday 28th May and cycled 190 miles over two days, arriving at St James Park on Saturday 30th May ready for a full weekend of Super League fixtures.
The Super Cyclists battled the rain, hail and wind along with the North Yorkshire hills, but all completed the challenge safely. A special mention to Foundation Director Neil Kelly who completed the challenge as a solo effort in just one day!
The Foundation would like to thank Central Self Drive for the use of their van for the support vehicle and the mini bus to transport the cyclists back to Warrington. A special thanks also goes to The Unicorn Hotel in Ripon for their hospitality on day 1.
If you would like to support the group’s efforts, you can sponsor them via the Just Giving Page www.justgiving.com/wolves-foundation.”
