Meet the Family

David has grown up at Central Self Drive headquarters. At 14 years old, he got his first job as a valet on weekends and during school holidays.

He progressed through CSD to the workshop, and while working as a mechanic he gained an NVQ in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.

At 21 years old, David took over the running of the workshop and started to employ his own mechanics, running a tight ship and ensuring all vehicles were repaired quickly and to manufacturer standards or above.

He later took hold of the Central Self Drive’s reigns and at 25, ran the business from top to bottom. Since David took over, he has overhauled the fleet and now nearly all of our vehicles are less than 3 years old. He has invested hugely in the business over the last 2 years, bringing the fleet size to just under 200.

David is the third generation of the Lewis family to run the business, continuing the proud tradition and upholding the excellent name that the company has earned over the years. His speciality is fleet management so whether you need one vehicle or 100, David knows the best way to meet your business objectives.

Tom is a versatile mechanical engineer who worked for several major hire companies before becoming independent over five years ago.

Impressed with his capabilities, Central Self Drive offered him a position and he has worked with us ever since.
