If you are going to be using the bridge regularly, we recommend that you register with Merseyflow to save 10% on the cost of each journey or consider the monthly pass option that is available. If you live in Halton you can register for the local residence discount scheme.

You will be able to pay in advance of crossing the bridge or until midnight the day after crossing to pay. If you don’t pay you will recieve a Penalty Charge Notice.

You will be able to pay online at www.merseyflow.co.uk, by phone 01928 878878 24hours a day, 7 days a week. There is also a walk-in centre in Runcorn between 8am and 8pm, Mon-Fri and 9am-6pm Sat-Sun.

If you don’t pay you will get a Penalty Charge Notice (PCN) which a legal document that carries a fine of £40 that is sent to the registered keeper. The fine is reduced to £20 if paid within the first 14 days, this then goes to £40 within 28 days of issue, £60 within 42 days of issue and then after 42 days is registered as a civil debt.
